Hanspeter Brunner joined Coutts in Asia in June 1997 as Chief Operating Officer and Singapore Branch Manager and was promoted to Head of Private Banking, Asia Pacific in April 1998. In September 2000, he was transferred to Zurich to take over the responsibility for the whole of Coutts Bank von Ernst. He was appointed as CEO of Coutts International in March 2002 responsible for Switzerland, Asia and TFS International. Coutts International's head office was moved to Singapore in August 2006 with Hanspeter's return to Singapore and his appointment to his current role as Executive Chairman of Coutts Asia. He continues to be responsible for the International Private Banking business of RBS Coutts. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the RBS Wealth Management Division.Hanspeter started his banking career in Switzerland and spent 17 years in Asia, between Beijing, Hong Kong and Singapore.
