John Bains
John Baines is Chief Executive, Wealth Management, Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc (appointed in January 2006). He joined RBS in June 2002 as Finance Director of Coutts Group, taking on wealth responsibilities in March 2003. Mr Baines has been a Member of the Boards of Coutts Bank von Ernst Ltd since July 2005, Coutts & Co., Adam & Co., Coutts RBS International and RBSI (Holdings) Ltd, and RBS Asset Management Ltd. Prior to joining RBS, he worked for UBS and JP Morgan and has extensive experience in private banking and investment banking, predominantly in the finance area.
